High Impact Manager Accelerator Programme (HI-MAP)
A practical manager development programme for growing businesses

HI-MAP™ is TAB’s practical manager development programme for growing UK businesses. It helps new and developing managers communicate clearly, manage performance, lead confidently and turn business priorities into action.
Unlike one-off leadership training programmes for managers, HI-MAP combines structured development with workplace application and ongoing accountability.

Are your managers equipped for the next stage of growth?
As a business grows, talented employees are often promoted into management because they are excellent at what they do. But managing people requires a different set of skills—and many new managers are expected to learn them without structured support.
HI-MAP gives managers practical training, tools and accountability so they can lead their people effectively and take greater ownership of business results.
Does this sound familiar?
-
Too many decisions are still escalated to senior leaders

Managers lack confidence in difficult conversations

Manager development starts with self-awareness
Before beginning their chosen HI-MAP path, participants complete a DISC assessment and an Understanding Behavioural Styles session. This helps managers recognise their own behavioural preferences, understand how other people communicate and adapt their leadership approach to different team members.
- Understand:
Participants begin with a DISC assessment to build greater awareness of their own and other people’s behavioural styles. -
Develop:
You choose one or more development paths based on the skills your managers and business need most. -
Apply:
Sessions use real management challenges and workplace situations, rather than theory alone. -
Commit:
Every session ends with practical actions that participants agree to implement at work. -

Successful managers need to communicate clearly, set expectations, make sound decisions, manage performance and adapt their approach to different people. They also need the confidence to address problems early and take responsibility for results.
Yes. HI-MAP can help newly promoted managers make the transition from technical or operational responsibility into effective people leadership. It can also support experienced managers who need to strengthen particular capabilities.
HI-MAP combines structured learning with workplace application and accountability. Managers do not simply attend a one-off course: they commit to practical actions, apply them at work and build on the results in subsequent sessions.
Yes. Businesses can select one or more of the four development paths based on their managers’ needs. HI-MAP can be delivered to a single organisation or through a mixed-company group containing non-competing businesses.
