It’s already been a cracking start to 2019 with TAB Derby member Helen Wathall being made an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list.
Helen has led Wathall’s Funeral Directors for more than 30 years and has maintained its position as one of the most respected and successful independent funeral directors’ in the country. Under her leadership, the company extended its services into bereavement support and launched its first Dandelions Bereavement Support Group.
Helen is a tower of strength for others and, when she needed to find her own support system, she turned to her peer board at TAB Derby which she joined two years ago. She said: ‘I initially had business coaching with Julian Smith, which gave me greater clarity on so many areas of my business as well as the importance of creating both personal and business visions.
“I also really appreciate the insightful feedback I gain from fellow board members.
“I am able to share with confidence any current issues or ideas and gain constructive, insightful, independent feedback.
"Joining TAB is definitely one of my best decisions over the last two years.”
